New Dubai Smart Police Station makes it easier to report crime – Time Out Dubai

If you notice something suspicious and can’t find the closest police officer to tell, no need to worry, as this new Smart Police Station (SPS) lets you report crimes without one.
Dubai Police has launched one more SPS on Al Seef Street near Dubai Creek, meaning residents and visitors can submit reports using its smart system.
“Perform transactions swiftly and easily at the newly established innovative and smart police station (SPS) located at Al Seef – Dubai Creek,” Dubai Police announced on Twitter.
There are a list of 27 services available at the smart station, along with a further 33 sub-services that includes getting a good-conduct certificate to social support.
Key services include traffic fines payment, police report inquiry, report crime, tourist security vehicle inspection request, lost and found items and many more.
Residents will only need to bring their Emirates ID to immediately use the service, while tourists can enter their full details onscreen.
This isn’t the first SPS, as three other stations were launched in 2017, with the first being in City Walk, followed by one in La Mer and on Al Rigga Street in Deira.
Dubai Police plan on launching more stations across the city in the near future, all to make it easier for people to report crime.
Dubai Police is making huge progress in technology, with patrols set to be fitted with ‘smart’ AI technology as well, meaning officers will have access to everything from driver recognition readers to electronic tracking devices.
The police has also recently set up a Smart Home Security app, offering people renting or owning villas free home security when away on vacation.
