Dry night confirmed for Dubai later this month – Time Out Dubai

Bars and restaurants across the city will be dry ahead of Islamic New Year
There is set to be another dry night in Dubai, and it will fall on Saturday August 31.
Dubai will be dry for the night from 6.30pm Saturday August 31 until 7.30pm on Sunday September 1, ahead of the Islamic New Year, which looks likely to fall on Sunday September 1.
This means that bars and restaurants across Dubai will not be serving anything other than soft drinks.
It also looks likely that Sunday September 1 is also going to be a public holiday in honour of Islamic New Year, also known as Hijri New Year.
Once confirmed workers in the private and the public sectors will be set for a three-day weekend.
Here’s a provisional list of the country’s remaining public holidays for 2019 so you know what to look out for.
Sunday December 1: UAE Commemoration Day
Monday December 2: Tuesday December 3: UAE National Day
